Lee Dawson drives the #F306 Pro Class car.  He lives in Macon, IL.  His home track is Coles County Dragway but he can also be found racing at St.Louis, MO. and Indianapolis, IN.

He started racing in 1977 in the Street Class at Motion Raceway in Assumption, IL. because of his need for speed.  His first win was in 1998 in the Pro Class at Terre Haute, IN.  For 4 consecutive years Lee was the Indianapolis Division 3 Finals.

The thrill of racing for Lee is the perfect light and dead on dial in.  His most exciting racing moment was 4 rounds Division 3 Finals first year out.  He's most proud of his engine building technique.

Of racing, Lee says, "It is safer on the track than on the street.  Drag racing is alive and well!".
