Don Kiger #01
Don Kiger modified #01
from Oakwood, IL . His home track is Vermillion County
Speedway in Danville, IL, but you can catch Don anywhere there's $$$$.
Don began racing in 1977
in the super street division. Don started racing when he hauled a load
of junk cars to Boswell and the promoter gave him a car and told him to
race it, and he's been doin' it ever since.
Don's first win came in
his rookie year at Boswell, IN. Don is a 3-time track champion, 1986
Farmer City modified champ and 1989 & 1990 modified champ at
Charleston. He also won the Jackson 100 modified race at Brownstown, IN
in 1993.
Don's modified is a Bob
Pierce chassis powered by a Collins 410. His racing hero is "The
Tall Cool One" Bob Pierce, and Dale Jarrett.
Don's greatest racing
accomplishment was winning the modified "Firecracker 40" at
Macon Speedway in 1989. His greatest racing thrill was starting his heat
a half lap back at the Springfield Mile in 1989 and going on to win!
Don's racing goal is to win a track championship at Danville before he
retires.
Don would like to thank
Steve Cates, Brook Evans, Lance, Donnie and Brandon for all of the help and support.
Don's quote: "Racing is like going on a first
date...sometimes you score, sometimes you don't"!
