Kelly Jones drives the #1J Late Model Class car.  His home track is Fairbury American Legion Speedway but he can also be found racing at Kankakee Speedway.  He lives in Pontiac, IL.

Kelly started racing in 1994 in the Sportsman Class at Fairbury American Legion Speedway because his parents took him every year since he was 5 years old.  That was the only thing Kelly wanted to do.  His first win was in 1996 in the Sportsman Class at Fairbury Speedway.  Career highlights include finishing in the Top 5 in '97, '98, '99 in the Sportsman Class Points, in '99 Kelly won every race he was in Dash, Heat and Features for the first 4 weeks.

The thrill of racing for Kelly is going down the straight away wide open and throwing the car sideways.  His most exciting racing moment was making his first Feature in the Late Model.  He's most proud of winning all those races in a row.

Kelly's racing heroes are Danny "Grody" Chandler, Rickie "the Hitman" Hedrick.
