Darcey Wey
#21D
Darcey Wey drives the #21D Modified Class
car. Her home track is Fairbury Speedway but she can also be found
racing at Spoon River Speedway and Farmer City Raceway. She lives
in Heyworth, IL.
Team members helping Darcey are:
Dad, Grandpa Johnny, Angie Shoemaker, Scott VanSickle, Donny Walden.
Ron and Diane Bauman are car owners.
She started racing in 2004 in the
Modified Class at Farmer City Raceway because she loves the sport and
loves going fast and because of Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Dale Earnhardt
Jr. Her first win was in 2005 in the Modified Class at Lincoln
Speedway.
The thrill of racing for Darcey is
racing with all the boys and beating them. Her most exciting
racing moment was the first time she out qualified Jim Leka. She's
most proud of finding out who she really is and what she wants to do for
the rest of her life.
Dacey's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt
Sr.
Of racing, Darcey says, "It is so fun
and exciting! You get to know the car and become very attached to
it!".
