Jimmie Smith drives the #27 Street Stock Class car.  His home track is Farmer City Raceway but he can also be found racing at Vermilion County Speedway.  He lives in Monticello, IL.

Team members helping Jimmie are:  Travis Joop, Jamie, Jimmie Jr.  Jimmie Smith is the car owner.

Jimmie started racing in 2004 in the Hornet Class at Farmer City Raceway because he was bored with drag racing but still had the need for speed.  His first win was that same year.  Career highlights include finishing 3rd to two former Track Champions his first year in Street Stock.

The thrill of racing for Jimmie is going fast.  His most exciting racing moment was his first Feature win in Street Stock.  He's most proud of finishing 3rd in his first year in Street Stock.

Jimmie's racing hero is Mark Martin.

Of racing, Jimmie says, "It's a lot harder than it looks.  Don't be scared!".
