Russ Adams drives the #74 Late Model Class car.  His home track is Peoria Speedway but he can also be found racing at Farmer City Raceway.  He lives in Princeville, IL. 

Team members helping Russ are:  Joy Adams, Jacob Adams, Mark Stuart and Nate Smith.  Digital Copy Systems is the car owner.

Russ started racing in 1973, at the age of 16 in the Drag Racing class.  He went into Road Racing from 1998 - 2005 and Dirt Late  Model from 2003 - 2005.  His first win was in 1973 in Drag Racing at the Peoria Drag Strip.  Career highlights include Drag Racing won at 16 years of age, won several Regional Races, and in Dirt Racing won several Heat Races.

The thrill of racing for Russ is competing with friends.  His most exciting racing moment was when his brakes failed in Road Racing at the end of a 165 mph straight away. 

Russ's racing hero is Irv Hoerr.

Of racing, Russ says, "There is a lot more involved in racing Dirt Cars than I thought!".
