Dan Sandiford

Dan Sandiford drives the #1 Hornet Class car.  He lives in Cowden, IL.  His home track is Fayette County Speedway.

He started racing in 1994 in the Bomber Class at Shelbyville Speedway.  His first win was in 1995 in the Bomber Class at Fayette County Speedway.  Career highlights include 1998 5th in the Points in the Sportsman Class, 1999 10th in the Points in the Modified Class, 2002 3rd in the Points in the Hornet Class.

The thrill of racing for Dan is winning!  His most exhilarating racing moment was racing door to door with his son, who won the Feature.  He's most proud of all the years he's raced paying for all but 10% out of his own pocket.
