Lake Nichoalds drives the #22N Hornet/Mini Stock Class car.  His home track is Kankakee Speedway but he can also be found racing at Farmer City Raceway and Fairbury American Legion Speedway.  He lives in Onarga, IL.

Team members helping Lake are:  Cherie, Zack and Don Nichoalds, Josh Kanosky, Daniel and Bob Flessner.  Nichoalds Racing is the car owner.

Lake started racing in 2005 in the Mini Stock/Hornet Class at Farmer City Raceway as a second generation driver.  Career highlights include finishing 3rd in the Points in his first year with a 1987 Ford Escort GT.  His best Feature finish so far is 4th place.

The thrill of racing for Lake is the competition and being a younger racer, pulling off an upset when he bets someone with way more experience.  His most exciting racing moment was finishing  4th in the Feature his 4th night of racing at Kankakee Motor Speedway.  He's most proud of finishing 3rd in the Points his first year, having no experience at racing Go Karts or anything like that.

Lake's racing heroes are his Dad and Roger Long.

Of racing, Lake says, "Racing on dirt is the best darn sport in the world!  Dirt is for racing  and asphalt is for getting there!".
