Mike started racing in 1984 in the
Enduro Class at Kankakee Motor Speedway because he was able to fix
things. He thought he could drive and wanted to prove it and is
still trying. His first win was in 1996 in the Street Stock Class
at Kankakee Motor Speedway. Career highlights include Fayette
County Bomber Track Record, 1999 Avery Henry Memorial at Boswell pole
sitter, and loading car in one piece anytime is a good night.
The thrill of racing for Mike is the
rare occasion to make the "perfect move". His most exciting racing
moment was 3 straight weeks of clean sweeps in 1999 at Kamp. He's
most proud of adapting enough to be competitive at a wide variety of
tracks.
Mike's racing hero is his Dad.
Of racing, Mike says, "It's the most fun
you can have with your clothes on! It's better to regret something
you've done than to regret something you haven't done!".
