Joe Gillespie drives the #4 Open Wheel
Modified Class car. His home track is Kankakee Speedway but he can
also be found racing at LaSalle Speedway, Fairbury Speedway, Peoria
Speedway, Spoon River Speedway, Shadyhill Speedway, Charleston Speedway
and Kokomo Speedway. He does a lot of traveling around the
Midwest. He lives in Ashkum, IL.

is the car owner.
Joe started racing in 2003 in the Go
Karts Class at Boswell Speedway because it looked like a lot of fun.
His first win was in '03 in the Go Karts Class at Kankakee Speedway.
Career highlights include National Midwest Burris Series Champion,
finishing in the Top 5 in the Indoor National Championship in Tunica,
Mississippi, back to back Twin 20's and Dirt Classic wins, first win in
the Modified, which was the B-Main at Peoria Speedway.
The thrill of racing for Joe is the
speed and being on the edge. His most exciting racing moment was
running the high side for his first time at Kankakee Speedway.
He's most proud of his first win in the Modified in his first season at
Peoria Speedway. Awesome night!
