Jim Carter drives the #27 Street Stock Class car.  His home track is Peoria Speedway but he can also be found racing at Lincoln Speedway and Spoon River Speedway.  He lives in Pekin, IL.

Team members helping Jim are:  Gerald Carter, Gary Sharp, Riley Herman, John Farris, Scott & Austin May.

Jim started racing in 1942 in the First Motorcyle Harley Davison 45 c in, 1957 in the Motorcycle class and 1978 in Stockcars at Peoria Speedway because they had no money and at that time it was the cheapest sport to get into.  His first win in Stockcars was in '79 at Peoria Speedway.  Career highlights include '98 Track Championship at Spoon River Speedway.

The thrill of racing for Jim is winning.  His most exciting racing moment was wataching Dale Earnhardt Jr. win his race June 16, 2012.  He's most proud of still being at it for 74 years.

Jim's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt Sr.
