 Guy Taylor

#77

Guy Taylor drives the #77 Modified Class car.  His home track is Lincoln Speedway but he can also be found racing at Macon Speedway.  He lives in Springfield, IL.

Team members helping Guy are:  Jamie Schomodie, Justin Fernandez, Aaron Speis.  Bobby Clark and Guy Taylor are the car owners.

Guy started racing in 1987 in the Go Karts Class at Mechanicsburg, Quincy and Dewitt, IL because his Dad had raced since Guy was born and he wanted to follow in his footsteps.  His first win was in '88 in the Go Karts Class at Midstate in Mechanicsburg, IL.  Career highlights include '92 raced Late Models for 2 years, took a break to raise his son, started again in '10 in Modifieds with 3 wins in '11 and 6 wins so far in '12.

The thrill of racing for Guy is the competition and the people you meet.  His most exciting racing moment was winning '11 Modified Feature at Macon Speedway the night of the Herald & Review 100.  He's most proud of the people he's met.  They are like family.

Guy's racing heroes are his Father, Dick Taylor and his brother, Matt Taylor.

Of racing, Guy says, "You can make a small fortune in racing by starting with a big fortune!".

Guy's favorite racing website is www.LuvRacin.com
