Jason started racing in 2000 in the
Sportsman Class at Macon Speedway for fun. His first win was in
2001 in the Sportsman Class at Macon Speedway. Career highlights
include in the Sportsman Class in 2001 won a Heat race and Semi Feature
race, 2002 - won two Heat Races, 2003 - Qualified 9th for 100 lap race
and finished a 100 lap race, with no accidents, in 4th place.
The thrill of racing for Jason is the
speed. His most exciting racing moment was racing the Springfield
Mile starting last because the clutch went out and had to change it.
Came up through traffic to 5th place and guy in front of Jason lost
drive shaft hitting Jason's tire, flattening it. He's most proud
of being able to learn about racing from lots of different people,
meeting new people and traveling to different tracks.
Jason's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt.
Of racing, Jason says, "Go for it!
You don't know what you're missing!!".
