Mickey Blankenship

Mickey Blankenship drives the #44 Modified Class car.  He lives in Glenarm, IL.  His home track is Macon County Speedway but he can also be found racing at Godfrey, IL.

He began racing in 2003 in the Modified Class at Godfrey Il.   He began racing for the pure love of the sport.  His career highlights include: memories of his two brothers building his car; switching driving duties every other night; and finishing in the middle of the pack.

The thrill of racing for Mickey is the competition.  His most exhilarating moment was the first time on the track.  He is most proud of building a car from scratch that is competitive. 

His racing heroes are Mel Kenyon and his grandfather.
