David Reed drives the #5 Hornet Class car.  His home track is Macon Speedway but he can also be found racing at Farmer City Raceway, Lincoln Speedway and Charleston Speedway.  He lives in Decatur, IL.

David started racing in 1980 in the Bombers Class at Macon Speedway because he Dad raced and his brothers race.  His first win was in 2005 in the Hornet Class at Farmer City Raceway.

The thrill of racing for David will be to win a Track Championship.  His most exciting racing moment was his first win.  He's most proud of his first big race win at Macon Speedway.

David's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt Sr.

Of racing, David says, "If you are going to have a race car, make sure it is safe.  You need to have money to race a car!".
