Jim Willert drives the #27 Open Wheel Class car. He lives in Davenport, Iowa. His home track is Quad City Speedway, but he can also be found racing at Burlington.

He began racing in 1981 in Super Sport Class at Tipton because it was in the Family. His first win was the same year, Track and Class. Career highlights include 5 Time Track Champion at Tipton, Aledo and Wapello.

The thrill of racing for Jim is putting on a good show for the fans. His most exciting racing moment was his 100th Mod. Feature Win-the first race his daughter attended. He is most proud of still be competitive after 23 years and of the 104 Modified A Feature wins.

Jim's racing hero is Cale Yarborough.

Of racing, Jim says, "It's very time consuming, but still a great family sport."
