Ray Cox Jr.
Ray Cox Jr. drives the #70 V8 Mod Class
car. He lives in Maquoketa, Iowa. His home track is Quad City Speedway but
he can also be found racing at Maquoketa and Davenport Speedways.
He began racing in 1979 in Street Stock
Class at East Moline to follow in his Dad's footsteps. His first win was
in 1981 at Hawkeye Raceway in Street Stock Class. Career highlights
include 1987-IMCA National Champion and 1996 Iowan State Champion.
The thrill of racing for Ray is winning.
His most exciting racing moment was accepting the IMCA Award. He is most
proud of making his Father proud.
Ray's racing hero is his Dad.
