Wally Schmidt drives the #61 Jr. Class Sprint car.  His home track is Southern Illinois Raceway but he can also be found racing at Coles County Speedway and Paducah International Raceway.  He lives in Calvert City, KY.

Team members helping Wally are:  Darrel Lovett, Steve Vaughn, Pam Vaughn.  Kurt Schmidt is the car owner.

Wally started racing in 2006 in the Jr. Class at Southern Illinois Raceway.  Career highlights include running consistently all year.  He had some bad luck  at the Nationals but finished 3rd in a Heat Race.

The thrill of racing for Wally is the speed and friends he's made.  His most exciting racing moment is going fast. 

Wally's racing heroes are Terry English in Late Models and Troy English in Modifieds.
