Mike Mataragas

Mike is 18 years old and from DeKalb. He races late models at his home track of LaSalle. He also runs at Farmer City and Kankakee.

Mike began racing in 2000 in a street stock . He started racing  because he loves it. 

He got his first win his rookie year at LaSalle in the street stock. He ranked 4th in the LaSalle street stock points in 2001. 

The Car for 2002 is a Stinger Chevy. 

Mikes Dad is his racing hero. 

Mike won a feature his second night in a late model.  Running on three wheels is Mikes biggest racing thrill. 

The goal is to run for the Northern all stars rookie of the year.
