Ben DeGarmo drives the #8 Hornet class car.  His home track is Hutchinson Raceway Park, but can also be found racing at 81 Speedway.  He lives in Hutchinson, KS.

Team members helping Ben are:  Dad, Daniel, and Uncle Anthony. Daniel DeGarmo is the car owner.

Ben started racing in 2007 in the Hornet Class at Hutchinson Raceway Park for his love of speed.  Career highlights include Hutchinson Raceway park 6th Place in points, and 81 Speedway 9th Place in points.

The thrill of racing for Ben is the speed.  His most exciting racing moment was his first Feature start and taking the first checkered flag.  He's most proud of his first Feature finish. 

Ben's racing heroes are Denny Hamlin and Dale Earnhardt jr..

Of racing, Ben says, "The winner ain't the one with the fastest car, it's the one who refuses to lose!".
