Bill Oates lives in Monticello, KY. His home track is Clinton County Speedway but he can also be found racing at Lake Cumberland.

He began racing in 1963 in a 34 Ford Coupe  at Monticello because he liked it. His first win was in 1964 in Late Model at Monticello. Career highlight includes Richmond Track Champion Mid 70s, won 7 of 9, Driving at Cherokee Motor Speedway.

The thrills of racing for Bill are winning and making the car work. His most exciting racing moments have been all of the wins. He is most proud of his accomplishment to win and being able to do it for so many years.

His racing heroes are the Underdogs.
