He began racing in 1981 in Street Stock Class at Corbin, because he was "born with it in my blood, didn't know anything else". His first win was in 1981, same Class and Track. Career highlights include 7 Championships 1986, 1987, 1995, 1996 in Late Model.

The thrill of racing for Benny is winning. His most exciting racing moment was in 1992 when he flipped his car and it caught on fire and spun around 7 times on it's top. He is most proud of his Track Championships.

Benny's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt Sr.
