He began racing in 1988 in Street Class at
Corbin after working on crew for about 4 years and Russell Mayne helped
him build a car. His first win was in 1988 at Corbin in Street Class.
Career highlights include, 2001 Coca Cola 100 - I-75 Speedway, 2002 Track
Champion - I-75 Speedway, 2003 Track Champion - Corbin Speedway, 2004
Track Champion - Corbin Speedway.
The thrill of racing for him is winning.
"Makes it good for my crew and myself". His most exciting racing moment
was winning the Coca Cola 100 at I-75 Speedway after going to the rear 3
times for a tire problem and also winning a dirt race at Mount Vernon
Speedway (the first and only dirt race he has ever been in). He is most
proud of winning all 3 races on night in his first year of racing.
His racing hero is Dale Earnhardt.
Of racing, Robbie says, "Cost alot of
money, takes alot of time and you need alot of help, but it makes it all
good when you can win".
