He began racing in 1999 at Soggy Bottom Speedway in Pure Street Class because his  Dad had always raced. His first win was in 2003 in 6 cyl. at Fairview. Career highlights include, 2003-14  Feature wins, 12 Heat wins, 1st Place in Points at Fairview, 6 Feature wins, 5th in Points at Soggy Bottom. In 2004-6 Feature wins, 4 Heat wins at Fairview, 6 Feature wins, 4 Heat wins, 1st in Points at Soggy Bottom Speedway.

The thrills of racing for Ricky are speed, bumping and rubbing. His most exciting racing moment was his first win. He is most proud of the 1st Place in Points at Fairview .
