She started racing in 2004 in 4 Cyl. Class at Fairview because the first time she saw her Dad race, said "I can do that". She ran  her first race June 25, 2004. Career highlights include, Race 1- 7th Place, Race 2-5th Place, Race 3-1st Women's Powder Puff.

The thrill of racing for Darlene is the anticipation of doing the best she can in something she has never done. the most exciting racing moment for Darlene was running close to one of the better drivers 2 weeks ago. She is most proud of being a female and able to hang up there with the guys.

Her racing hero is Bobby Labonte.

Of racing, Darlene says, "With time and patience you can accomplish whatever you want, and women should not be afraid to try it".
