Mark A. Black drives the # 21 Open Wheel
Class car. he lives in Whitley, Ky. His home track is Lake Cumberland but
he can also be found racing at the Ponderosa.
He started racing in 1990 in Bomber Class
at Ponderosa and Lake Cumberland Tracks, because he has always loved dirt
track racing. His first win was in 1994- in Bomber Class at Lake
Cumberland. Career highlights include, 1994- Lake Cumberland Classic,
1996- Bomber Nationals at Ponderosa, Track Champion at Ponderosa, 22
Feature Wins, 1997-Track Champion Ponderosa, 15 Feature Wins.
The thrill of racing for Mark is the
competition. His most exciting racing moment was winning in 1996 the
Bomber Nationals, he ran 60 Lap with no power steering. He is most proud
of all of the Features he has won at Lake Cumberland, Ponderosa, Mt.
Vernon and Cool Springs.
Mark's racing hero is the late Don Cox.
