J. J. Patterson drives the #72 Open Wheel Class car. He lives in Corbin, Ky. His home track is Lake Cumberland Speedway but he can also be found racing at Clinton County.

He started racing in 1993 in Pure Stock at Corbin Motor Speedway because his Dad raced and J. J. always wanted to race and win like his Dad did. His first win was in  1993 in Pure Street at Corbin. Career highlights include, 1996-2nd in Points, 1997 5th in Points, 1999 3rd in Points, 2001- 3rd in Points and 2003-2nd in Points.

The thrills of racing for J. J. are the fans cheering  him on  and the help and support of his family and crew. His most exciting racing moment was starting 12th and racing all the way to the front to win it. He is most proud of winning Most Favorite Driver.

J. J. 's racing hero is his Dad - Ron Patterson.
