Brian S. Jenkins
#J378
Brian S. Jenkins drives the #J378 Super
Pro Class car. His home track is Ohio Valley Dragway but he can
also be found racing at Beech Bend Raceway, Bowling Green, Music City
Raceway, Nashville Speedway. He lives in Boston, KY.
Team members helping Brian are:
Robert Kylor (Crew Chief and Engine Builder), Brad Trans, Billy
Mattingly, Steve Barno, Tom & Rhonda Smolenski.
Brian started racing in 1985 in the Pro
Class at Ohio Valley Dragway because he liked working on cars, so racing
seemed only natural. His first win was in 1986 in the Pro Class at
Ohio Valley Dragway. Career highlights include win in Heavy Class
at the Sports Nationals at Beech Bend Raceway in 1990, Multiple Pro
Class wins at the Ohio Valley Dragway and US 60 Raceway. No wins
yet in the Super Pro Class but have many semi final appearances.
The thrill of racing for Brian is doing
a big wheel stand at the starting line. His most exciting racing
moment was breaking an axle during a Big Wheel Stand and almost taking
out the tree in the process. He's most proud of being very
consistent with his reaction times.
Brian's racing heroes are John Force and
Rusty Wallace.
Of racing, Brian says, "Drag racing is
the most affordable type of racing for entry level competition!".
