Russell Childress

Russell Childress drives the #12 Open Wheel Modified Class car.  He lives in Morgantown, KY.  His home track is Soggy Bottom Speedway.

He started racing in 1992 in the Street Stock Class at Cedar Grove Raceway.  His first win was in 1994 in the Street Stock Class at Cedar Grove Raceway.  Russell was Track Champion at Central Park Raceway in 1995, and at Soggy Bottoms Speedway in 1999, 2001 and 2002.

His most exciting racing moment was when he started in the rear during the Feature at Battle at the Bottoms and won it!  He's most proud of his 2001 and 2002 Battle at the Bottom wins.
