He began racing in 1994 in Modified Class at Richmond for the competition. His first win was in 2002 at Richmond in Modified Class.

The thrill of racing for him is the side by side action. His most exciting racing moment was when he wont the  Kentucky Modified Dirt Championship at Richmond.

Arnold's racing heroes are Tony Stewart and Dale Earnhardt.
