Matt Markham drives the #19m Pure Stock
Class car. His home track is Western Kentucky Speedway but he can
also be found racing at Windy Hollow Speedway. He lives in
Princeton, KY.

Matt started racing in 2003 in the Pure
Stock Class at Western Kentucky Speedway because his Father raced when
Matt was a child and the thrill and adrenaline rush of out racing was
passed down. His first win was in 2003 in the Pure Stock Class at
Western KY Speedway. Career highlights include Pure Stock Track
Champion in 2004, his brother Brian and Matt finishing 1st (Brian)
and 2nd (Me) in Points Standings in 2005.
The thrill of racing for Matt is the
excitement, felt by Matt and the fans after taking a victory. His
most exciting racing moment were the many victories and several heated
battles with other talented drivers around the area. He's most
proud of being able to be competitive and stay competitive by finishing
5th in the Points in his first full year of racing and going on to win
the Points Championship in his 2nd year and then follow his brother in
2nd place as he won his Championship in his second year.
Matt's racing heroes are his Father,
late Roger Markham, #11m of Peoria Speedway in Illinois and Jeff Gordon.
Of racing, Matt says, "Racing is a
family oriented sport that can be fun and exciting for all ages!".
