Billy Jewell drives the #8 Modified Class car. He lives in  Springfield, KY. His home track is  the Bluegrass Speedway.

He started racing in 1997 in Eastern All Star,  Chevette Class at  Ponderosa Speedway, Lake Cumberland. His first win was in 1998 same Class at the Ponderosa. Career highlights include, Top 10 Yearly Points-1999-Present (2004) and Feature Wins at  all 3 tracks.

The thrill of racing for Billy is the major rush. His most exciting racing moment was  winning at Bardstown at a once a year race for Chevette. He is most proud of finishing  Top 10 Points at end of every year.

His racing hero is Mike Jewell.

Of racing, Billy says, " Exciting, sometimes you have long hours at night for repairs".
