Danny Blackwell drives the #B1 Sportsman Class car.  His home track is Kentucky Bluegrass Speedway.  He lives in Taylorsville, KY.

Team members helping Danny are:  Eddie O'Daniel, Little Eddie O'Daniel, Jerry Boy O'Daniel, Randy & Robby Blackwell - sons.

Danny started racing in 1973 in the Figure 8 Class at Fairgrounds because he always loved the races.  His first win was in 1977 in the Figure 8 Class at Louisville Fairgrounds.  Career highlights include Louisville Motor Speedway Champion in 1989, '90 and '92 in Figure 8, Bluegrass Speedway Figure 8 Champion in 1995 and Bluegrass Speedway Sportsman Champion in 1995.

The thrill of racing for Danny is competing.  His most exciting racing moment was the at Brownstown Speedway when he broke a rear end gear in practice, drove back 65 miles to get rear end, went back to the track, put in and started on the tail and won!  He's most proud of his Championships.

Danny's racing hero is anyone who sits behind the wheel.
