Michael Coontz drives the #19 Street Stock Class car.  He lives in Hustonville, KY.  His home track is Bluegrass Speedway but he can also be found racing at Ponderosa Speedway.

He started racing in 1999 in the Pure Street Class car at Ponderosa Speedway because he has loved racing since he can remember.  It is all he ever really wanted to do.  His first win was in 2003 in the Street Stock Class at Bluegrass Speedway.  Career highlights include 3 Feature wins in 2003, 4th in the Points at Ponderosa Speedway in 1999.

The thrill of racing for Michael is that he loves to win and it is an adrenaline rush!  His most exciting racing moment was when he raced at Bulls Gap, TN with Super Stock Class and ran 6th.  He's most proud of his wins at Bluegrass Speedway.

Michael's racing heroes are Dale Earnhardt and Michael's Dad.

Of racing, Michael says, "It is the most fun I've had in my life.  I've met a lot of really good people!".
