Kevin Westerfield

Kevin Westerfield drives the #31 UMP Open Wheel Modified Class car.  He lives in Whitesville, KY.  His home track is Soggy Bottom Speedway but he can also be found racing at Nebo and Windy Hollow Speedway. 

He started racing in the UMP Open Wheel Modified Class at Nebo and Chandler Speedway after being talked into it by friends.  His first win was in 2003 in the Modified Class at Windy Hollow Speedway.  Career highlights include qualifying 2nd and winning the Bob Westerfield Memorial, having a good year at Soggy Bottom Speedway and finishing many 2nd and 3rd place races.

The thrill of racing for Kevin is getting out there and having fun with friends.  His most exciting racing moment was winning the Bob Westerfield Memorial of which he is the most proud, along with making friends that are always there for you.

Of racing, Kevin says, "It's all about having fun, as long as I get out of the car safe and the car goes home in one piece, in my opinion, that's a good night!".
