Doug Vick Jr. drives the #4 Pro Mod and
Factory Stock Class cars. His home track is Ark-La-Tex Speedway
but he can also be found racing at Boothill Speedway, Lonestar Speedway
and 67 Speedway. He lives in Vivian, LA.
Team members helping Doug are:
Doug Vick Sr, Wayne Hill, Joe Cason and Eric Norris.
Doug started racing in 2000 in the Hobby
Stock Class at Webster Speedway because he grew up watching his Dad race
and it was all he ever really wanted to do. His first win was in
'03 in the Limited Modified Class at Champion Park Speedway.
Career highlights include '08-'11 Ark-La-Tex Speedway Factory Stock
Track Champion, '09 and '11 Quik Race Cars Spring Nationals at
Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Factory Stocks, '08 Louisiana State Champion at
Boothill Speedway in Factory Stocks.
The thrill of racing for Doug is
everything about racing. His most exciting racing moment was
coming from around 15th starting spot on a one lane track where passing
was impossible to make a last turn slide job to win the '11 Comp Cams
Summer Nationals at Ark-La-Tex Speedway. He's most proud of
winning the '11 Cajun Classic after making the A-Main every other year
but to never win.
Doug's racing hero is his Dad. He
never had the best car but always made the most of it.
Of racing, Doug says, "It's more than
just what we do it's who we are and nothing comes close to the
excitement of racing!".
