Larry Nelson drives the #61 USRA Modified Class car.  His home track is Chateau Raceway but he can also be found racing at Deer Creek Speedway.  He lives in Hartland, MN.

Team members helping Larry are:  Wife - Nancy, Tim "Timmer" Weckworth, Jim Arnold, Dylan Nelson. 

Larry started racing in 1976 in the Street Stock Class at Fairmont Raceway because he wanted to move up from Demo-Derbys.  His first win was in 1978 in the Street Stock Class at I-35 Speedway.  Career highlights include finishing 2nd in the Points 8 times, winning 5 Features in a row at Chateau Raceway.

The thrill of racing for Larry is the competition.  His most exciting racing moment was his first USMTS Show.  He's most proud of the friendships between racers and just running clean races.

Larry's racing hero is Mark Noble.
