 David Williams

#72

David Williams drives the #72 Super Late Model class car. His home track is Potomac Speedway, but can also be found at Hagerstown Speedway, and Winchester Speedway. He lives in Mechanicsville, MD.

Team members helping David are: Jimmy Quade, Billy Alderman, Nick Raley, Anothony Quade, Thomas Roley, Robbie Combs, Mike Russell, Donald Phetteplace, Pete Cameron, and Roland Mann. The car owner is Cameron/Mann Enterprises.

David started racing in 92’ in the Street Stock class at Potomac Speedway because he had been around racing all his life with Dad racing then helping Blair Anderson and Pete Cameron. His first win was that same year. Career highlights include 94’ Street Stock Champion at Potomac Speedway, 08’, 09’, 10’, 11, Super Late Model class Champion.

The thrill of racing for David is the competitiveness and friendship. His most exciting racing moment was winning the first race at Winchester Speedway after running there for many years with no wins and a lot of tore up cars. He is most proud of the number of wins with only guys that work on the car for fun, no money paid to any crew members.

David’s racing hero is his crew for their time and effort.

Of racing David says “Dirt is for racing and asphalt is for getting there!”

His favorite website is www.dirtondirt.com
