Austin started asphalt racing in 2007 in the Cam-Am Kart racing at JRP Speedway in Tulsa, OK

2009 MMRA National & Rookie of the year Jr Pro Baby Grand, 2009 NASCC Regional Champ. Jr Pro Baby Grand, 2008 NASCC & JRP Speedway Champ & Rookie of the year in Mini-Cup. 2007 JRP Speedway 2nd in Can-Am Kart racing.

The thrill of racing for Austin was when he raced on the famous 5/8 mile Fairgrounds Speedway at Nashville, TN the day after his birthday September 4, 2009 when he turned 14 years old. He won the Jr Pro Baby Grand division.
