Sonny Kimberling drives the #o2k A-Modified Class car.  His home track is Lake Ozark Speedway.  He lives in Slater, MO.

Sonny started racing in 1972 in the Late Model Class at Marshalle Speedway because he's raced all his life starting in Karts.  His first win was in 1972 in the Late Model Class at Saline County Speedway.  Career highlights include beating Ken Schrader for the win in 1993 at State Fair Grounds Speedway in Modifieds when Kenny was driving the Harris cars.  Kelly Shyrock was in that race also.  Sonny was Track Champion is 1990 and 1991 in Modifieds at 24 Raceway.

The thrill of racing for Sonny is that he just likes to race with those around him, including the young drivers.  His most exciting racing moment was winning 3 races in 1 weekend.  He's most proud of getting along with the drivers and being able to get out there with them.  Carl Edwards has driven his car several times in the past few years.

Sonny's racing hero is himself.
