Lanny Carpenter

Lanny is 39 and races sprint cars out of
Clarksburg. Double X is his home track but he also runs Callaway, the
State Fair, and Capital Speedway.
Lanny started racing in 1978 because his dad was a
track promoter. He got his first win in a go kart at Tipton.
Lanny won the sprint car track championship at
Double XX in 1999.
The car is a Schnee Chassis with a 355 Chevy.
Sammy is Lannys hero.
Winning the Woody Carpenter memorial Race was his
biggest accomplishment, and the thrill of racing is simply
"Winning".
Lannys goal is "to win the points again."
