Darren races Sportsmen  cars out of Boonville,.Mo.  He is 32 and began racing in Street Stocks  in 1996, because he "wanted to!"

Darren ranked 6th in the points in  the Street Stock class in 1999 at California.

The car is a Monte Carlo with a 358 cu.in Chevy .

Dale Earnhardt is his racing hero.

Moving up to the next class this year is his biggest racing accomplishment. 

End over end three times, goingo for the lead  on teh last lap was his greatest thrill in a race car.

His goals are accomplished because he is "on the track."
