Tim Bell
#8
Tim Bell drives the #8 Modified Street
Class car. His home track is Northeast Mississippi Motorsports but
he can also be found racing at Columbus Speedway, Magnolia Motor
Speedway and NAS. He lives in Guntown, MS.
Team members helping Tim are:
Buddy Bell, Kenny Pickering, Larry Hugley.
Tim started racing in 2001 in the
Modified Street Class at Pine Ridge Speedway just to see if he could do
it and when he did, he fell in love with it. His first win was
that same year. Career highlights include being able to run out
front and to be able to race clean throughout the race. There are
a lot of great drivers out there that Tim feels are better than he is,
so when he is able to run with them and beat them on the track, it is a
highlight in his book!
The thrill of racing for Tim is being
able to be out there racing with some great competitors. His most
exciting racing moment was winning his first race. He's most proud
that he can take a race car and run all year long and the car stays as
clean as it did when he started the year. He is one of the drivers
and he takes pride in that he knows that other drivers know that he is a
clean driver and he not only takes care of his equipment but he will
take care of theirs as well!
Tim's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt.
Of racing, Tim says, "If you have never
been in a race car you need to do it this weekend. It is one of
the best feelings in the world when you got a great handling race car
and you can go from last to the front. I will say that it does
take some talent to drive a car. I would like to think that I have
a little with my driving ability. It's a great sport and a lot of
fun! Race car drivers do not cheat, they find alternate
advantages!".
