Barbara Blount drives the #26 Late Model Class car.  Her home track is Pine Ridge Speedway but she can also be found racing at Columbus Speedway and Central Mississippi Speedway.  She lives in Bruce, MS.

Team members helping Barbara are:  Mike Blount, Danny Adams.  Mike and Barbara Blount are the car owners.

Barbara started racing in 1992 in the Street Stock Class at Shannon Speedway because she liked the excitement.  Her first win was in 1996 in the Street Stock Class at Pine Ridge Speedway.  Career highlights include 1997 Championship at Pine Ridge in Ladies Street Stock Class, 1998 Championship at Woodland Raceway in Ladies Street Stock Class, 1999 & 2000 finished 2nd in Points in Outlaw Street at Woodland Raceway. 

The thrill of racing for Barbara is racing door to door with someone and you don't wreck each other.  She's most proud of the respect that she has received from the guys that she has raced with all of these years.  If she breaks something, she can go to them and they will help her get back into the race.

Of racing, Barbara says, "If you get the chance to race, give it a try.  There is no drug on this earth that can give you the feel that racing does!  Just because you are young or a girl, don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it because you can do anything you set your mind to!  If it is meant to be it is up to    me!".
