Chris Collums drives the #9 Open Wheel Modified Class car.  His home track is Pine Ridge Speedway but he can also be found racing at Columbus Speedway and North Alabama Speedway.  He lives in Tupelo, MS.

Team members helping Chris are:  Dwayne Collums, Steve Cole.  Dwayne Collums is the car owner.

Chris started racing in 1996 in the Jr. Restricted Go Kart at Possum Trot because he just wanted to try it.  His first win was that same year.  Career highlights include Fan Favorite at Pine Ridge in 2004 & 2006, winning the first ever race at Pontotoc Speedway, finishing 2nd in numerous seasons at different tracks.

The thrill of racing for Chris is the competition.  His most exciting racing moment was competing in the National Indoor Dirt Track Championships.  He's most proud of he wins and all of his fans.

Chris's racing heroes are any NASCAR former Dirt Track racers.

Of racing, Chris says, "Everyone should experience a race at one point in their life.  I love racing because it is a way that me and my Dad can spend time together!".
