Benton Smith

Benton Smith drives the #66 Pure Stock Class car.  He lives in Sanford, NC.  His home track is Fayetteville Motorsports Park.

Benton's #66 car is the black and yellow Chevy Camaro.  

He started racing in 2003 in the Pure Stock Class at Fayetteville because while helping  his brother, Chuck Smith, last season, Chuck let Benton driver his car at practices.  After the first time Benton was hooked!

The thrill of racing for Benton is the competition and the thrill of passing other cars while sliding through the corners.  His most exhilarating moment was finishing 8th this weekend (4/19/03).    

With this being Benton's first season driving, finishing 8th is what he's most proud of so far!

Of racing, Benton says, "Racing is a lot of fun and hard work......and you get the whole family involved!".
