Bill has been racing since 1966 and started out in the Claiming Street Stock Division at Bowmen Gray Stadium. He started racing because he loves to drive! His first win came in 1969 in the Hobby class at 311 Speedway. 

He has won the titles of Most Popular Driver, and Points Champion, Best appearing Car. He is also won two points championships at Friendship Motor Speedway in 1990 and 1991. He has also claimed an invitational race at Friendship Motor Speedway.

 Bill can proudly say that everyone in his family including the grand kids are involved with his racing. He would like to thank his wife Maxine Tesh, Michael Tesh, Richard Childers, Anthony Eden, Connie Eaton, Scotty Eaton, Danny and Sue Stevens, Adrianne Stevens, Mathew Stevens, Tom Boles, Gary Richardson, Bobby McGee, Roy McGee and Royce McGee.
