Paul Garret

   Late Model

Paul has been racing since 1982 and started out in the Street Stock division at Quecham. He got his first win at the Quecham speed way in 1983.

Paul has traveled extensively in his racing career and has several championships that started in 1983. He has also the championships in 1990 and 1992 at Yuma, AZ in the Sportsman division and then again in 1993 in Imperial, CA also in the Sportsman Division.

We asked Paul what the thrill of racing was for him. He told us that he wanted to build a better car and making that car go fast. Paul can build a race car from the ground up but is most proud when he can build a car with a little money and then go out and beat the guys with the fast cars built with a lot of money.

He wants to thank Roger Mears, and Jerry and Kim Miller for their help during the racing season.

We asked Paul if he had a favorite racing hero and that was a tough one since there are so many, so we rephrased the question to “Who do you most admire?” His answer…President George Bush.
