Rodney Sears drives the #49 Stock 4 Class car. He lives in Lexington, N.C. His home track is 311 Speedway but he ca also be found at the Carolina Motor Speedway.

He started racing in 1999 in the Stock 4 Class at 311 Speedway, because his friends and family got him into it.

The thrill of racing for Rodney is the need for speed. His most exciting racing moment was the T-Bone wreck on the back straight away. He is most proud of his crew.

Rodney's racing heroes are Roger  Tompson and Eddie Everhart.

Of racing, Rodney says, "To hang on tight".
