R J Otto drives the #1 Crate Late Model Class car.  His home track is 311 Speedway but he can also be found racing at Antioch Speedway and Lowes Motor Speedway.  He lives in Mooresville, NC.

Team members helping R J are:  Jonathan Steele, Tyler Stultz and Mike Scearce (Step-Dad).  Mike Scearce and Georgianna (Mom) are the car owners.

R J started racing in 2006 in the Crate Late Model Class at Carolina Speedway as a 3rd generation driver.  His first win was in 2000 in the Go Karts Class at Woodleaf Speedway.  Career highlights include 27 wins in Karts, finishing in the top 5 in Crate Late Models in his 2nd race at Antioch in '06 and running in the World Short Track Championships at Lowes Motor Speedway in '06.

The thrill of racing for R J is the speed and the adrenaline rush.  His most exciting racing moment was going sideways at 100 mph with 30 other cars.  He's most proud of running as fast as a Super Late Model at Carolina Speedway.

R J's racing hero is his Dad, Ron Otto and Dale Earnhardt.
